It’s no surprise- Winter is here and we couldn’t be more excited! The all new Game of Thrones season premiered three days back and as we expected—it came back with a BANG! What an epic start to the season! If you haven’t watched it yet, then we suggest you not to proceed. Everyone hates the spoilers. If you have, read along!
Everything important and exciting that happened in the first episode of season 7 of Game of Thrones is here.
The Lone Wolf kills all the sheep
We all agree that the Red Wedding was the most heart-wrenching and the most unforgettable thing that happened in GoT in the list of all bad things to ever happen. Ever since Robb was killed along with his unborn child and wife, Lady Stark was slain along with her other men; we have been extremely anxious to see the table turn in favor of the Starks against the Frey. The last season disclosed Arya slitting the throat of Walder Frey- the son of a gun! In this episode- Arya being the badass she is, avenged her family by wiping the Frey men off the planet. Winter came for House Frey and the North remembers. *happy tears*
Cersei is ever-so-bitter about everything in existence
The lioness continues being fiercely paranoid- rightly so, she lost three children after all! She seems to be completely shutting out Jamie and now has a strong mindset. She realizes that she’s surrounded by enemies from literally everywhere and now the time has come when she must make a move. A wise, throne-saving move.
Euron Greyjoy roasts Jamie Lannister
Euron Greyjoy visiting The Red Keep upon invitation from Cersei Lannister takes a go at Jamie. Thrice. He makes jokes about his hand and how Cersei might actually enjoy killing him off. Even though Euron Greyjoy is a slimy rat—we still loved the insults he had to throw at Jamie. That too, very publicly.
Jon and Sansa can’t seem to agree with each other
Jon and Sansa almost had a row. Their opinions about the family lands of the treacherous Karstarks and the Ambers were quite different. However, Jon had the upper hand as he’s now legit King in the North.
Ed meets Arya
The much hyped Ed Sheeran cameo finally took place. Arya joins a group of soldiers as they feast on rabbits while Ed sings a beautiful song. He looks pretty cute in that shiny armor!
The hint of humanity in The Hound
One of those another rare moments when we see the Hound being overtaken by humanity. Him burying those ill-fated father and daughter were one of the highlights of the episode. Also, is he a believer now? Holy fire!
The Queen comes home
Finally, the part we had been waiting for ALL EPISODE long. Dany finally sails home. At Dragonstone she lands, the same fort she was born in, the same fort Stannis was living in. Her ‘shall we begin?’ got us all raving!
We couldn’t be more thrilled and psyched about the upcoming episode this Monday. Perhaps, GoT new episodes are the only thing that makes Monday less dreadful from now on. What’s your favorite moment in this episode? Share with us!
