There’s been a lot of discussions, researches and gigs about the color format of pandas. It’s been a long and twisted confusion for years but not anymore. We have cracked the code of panda’s fur color. And found something that goes like this:
In an island long and far away, it was a time when nothing was as colorful as it is for today
Birds were white with dark outlines, pigeons and crows; not so grey
Peacock dances have no glamour and neither of them were ever called astray
It wasn’t a time of clear green and shades, there white lives matter as much as grey
But one day they found a pound, with restrictions and notes stuck to its ground
Now as the matter of fact, whoever to pour the water from the pound
Will gain immense color with everlasting gowns, but the only difficulty was how?
As small, in the size as he be, toucan was the first one to dip its beak.
They saw something happening, they saw and scream!
What is this? All shout! Apparently color, someone squeak
There was no fear and no streak, everyone took a dip and now everyone is in colorful sleeks
The pound however has a limit, it dries with every clique!
Now the town have colors too, now they all shine and bloom
But as for panda, this wasn’t the case. He was asleep when the town was awake.
So no color for you, there tweets a crake. Pound is as dry as flake.
Poor panda have no other choice, except to accept his laziness as pride.
UM, ACTUALLY NOT.
LET’S TALK ABOUT FACTS
We all know there was no pound and no one was black and white from the origins. Except for pandas, but not exactly due to the attribution of lazy sleep. Pandas have whole lot of science behind their not so colorful fur color.
LET US GET IT STRAIGHT BY DISCUSSING IT PATCH BY PATCH
Well for starters, pandas have to look tough, blend in, and standout. I mean talk about pressure.
WHY WHITE?
A well-researched study is done and dusted off the facts about it. According to which pandas have white parts to simple camouflage in the white snow.
WHY BLACK LIMBS?
In simple words, to help them hide in shady areas.
Because pandas don’t hibernate. Which is why they need something to help them survive in both cold and heat. This is the main reason behind why other bears are generally monochrome or some slightly phased. But only pandas come with the revolution of exhibiting white and black both in his attire.
THEN WHAT ABOUT HIS BLACK PATCHED EYE?
Pandas have black patch around their eyes, which actually serves them for the purpose of name tag. These black patches around their beautiful eye are distinctively different in all of them and therefore serve them as being their name plates.
Another reason for their dark patched eye is to show aggression. So that everyone should remember, they don’t go bamboo all the time.
COOL, NOW BLACK EARS?
They have black ears to let their predators know how big black and husky they could be. It’s like Rachel grey’s pie, not always beef not always sweet.
Besides all the survival facts and figure, we still believe that pandas as cute as they are have some intense attraction in them. Which is why they are the epitome of a lot of meme and are recently one of the most well-known animals. Um, actually bear!
We can say for this generation, pandas could possibly be the mark of peace. Which is why, they have been praised by putting them on everything possible. From customized mugs to graphic t-shirts. And who knows, next they’ll be running their own presidential leads.
UM, ACTUALLY NO.
