Two years back around the same time when Pakistan beat India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final we were the happiest country in the world. We won the ICC Champions Trophy. That too by beating India in the finals. It was nothing less than a miracle and people across the country rejoiced and celebrated like there was no tomorrow. Everyone was happy and extremely joyous. Hearing the stand up for the champions on the sports channel with the players of our team making rounds with the flag around the stadium legit gave goosebumps. (I know you are having flashbacks and crave a similar moment, but come back from that drool-worthy dream).
This is what we want this year as well. In the ODI World Cup 2019. It’s like a dream watching our team beating India in an ODI World Cup match. Bhaee ek dafa. Let us feel the feel. The feeling of celebrating a win against India in an ODI World Cup match is anonymous to us yet.
Someone, please tell the team and Sarfaraz that we are not in any mood to hear any more Mauqa mauqa’s from our Indian friends. We are tired and we want a change in this consistency of being on the losing side in this Cricket battle.
Kher.
Let me make you feel better and make you have hoped so you feel motivated to invest your time in praying for the country. So here it is.
Since we Pakistanis are fond of comparing any tournament with the 1992 World Cup, let’s throw some light on this particular ongoing tournament as well.
Luckily, we see a similar trend in the performance
Pakistani team led by Sarfaraz Ahmed is putting exactly the same results forward as were produced by the team under Imran Khan ‘s captaincy back in 1992. Well, at least up till now.
The first match was lost by the team. The second match was won. The third had no results. And the fourth one was lost as well. If the same pattern is followed, the team will lose the match with India. BUT the trophy is ours according to World Cup 2019 Predictions.
Lets see it in more detail.
-
Defeat against Kaali aandhi
The opener match that Pakistan played in 1992 was against West Indies. They lost it just like in a tsji tournament. The kaali aandhi put on what they call a good game. However, it was the Pakistani shaheens that had a bad day. In 92 and now in 2019, the campaign was kick started against West Indies and in both matches, Pakistan had to suffer loss of wickets. 10 in 92 and 7 in 2019.
-
Handsome Win
After the first match in both years, the Pakistani team made a solid comeback. In 1992, Pakistan played it’s second match against Zimbabwe and defeated them by a staggering score of 53 runs. The same victory was enjoyed this year’ as well when Pakistan played against the ace team England and won it with a 14 run victory against the number 1 team in ODI. Well, this is how unpredictable our team can get.
-
No results
The third match in both the years was washed off by the rain and Thank God for it though. Since the team has been really inconsistent since a while and courtesy to the rain that we got at least a point for no match. Or else we don’t know where our team would have stood by now.

Severe defeat
As bad as we feel to write it down, it is very true that Pakistan lost to India in the third match in 1992. This match was won by India with a Good score. And since we are already comparing trends, if the comparisons are to come true, then, wait for It, We will lose the match to India.
But hey wait. We won the trophy in the final match. Also, another similarity, back in 1992 Pakistan was led by Imran Khan and now in 2019 as well, Pakistan is led by Imran Khan. (makes sense? no? Okay)
